You may take the test anytime once your 20-hour course has been completed. It is personal preference on when you feel ready to take the test. We typically suggest studying in our test prep app, Prep2Pass, a bit before going.
Per NMLS, you have up to 3 years upon course completion to take the National test (obviously that time is not recommended).
